It's my favourite Spielberg and for that very reason this was perhaps only the fifth time I've seen it. It's a film I like to use sparingly. It's just beautiful. And I'd argue the most perfect harmonisation of Spielberg's hallmarks.

Seeing it on first release in the cinema was awe-inspiring. This and 2001 are what activate my God Gene (for a scientific rationalist religion-hater).
