Jennifer’s Body Trailer

Jennifer’s Body will prove worthy of note for laying to rest any speculation over the following questions:

1) Will lightning strike twice for Oscar-blessed Juno scribe Diablo Cody?; and
2) Can Megan Fox actually act?

ShockTillYouDrop has premiered the film’s red band trailer. Ever wanted to see the Transformers starlet eat the face off a quarterback or singe her own tongue with a cigarette lighter? Here’s your chance.

Watch here.

Directed by Girlfight’s Karyn Kusama, Jennifer’s Body releases October 29th.

Looks pretty rad, but I gotta tell ya - not a fan of Juno.

I like Juno very much. It's a film I'm glad I caught on the cusp of its popularity and ubiquity as, had I only seen the thing post Oscar noms, I'd no doubt have thought it completely overrated and balked. But in spite of all of its affectations, it manged to both charm and surprise me. So, as said, I like it very much.

This looks fun. Hoping Diablo delivers - that "Heathers meets Beetlejuice" pitch was a good one...

I really liked girlfight, and must of been one of the only people who didn't mind Aeon Flux.

I don't know about Megan Fox though.

Not a fan of Juno either, but no matter! This looks fun and I will most definitely give it a shot.

@ninjawookie I thought Girlfight was decent, too, but never made the effort to catch Aeon Flux.

I'm the same about Fox. But, in all fairness, she's hardly been tested yet so it'll be interesting to see how she goes here.

@Gina All you Juno haters, I don't know... :P

Aeon Flux is one of those movies that grew on me.

But I must say, the trailer does make this movie look pretty damn horrible. On of those horror movie aimed pretty much solely at 15 year old highschool boys...

Wasn't Frances McDormand in Aeon Flux? I loved the cartoons when I was younger (though haven't seen them in years) but something about the trailers for the film really served to turn me off.

I think this actually looks like lots of fun. And that "play the shitty towns" line cracked me up :P

yeah, McDormand does have a small role in Aeon Flux, but I didn't even realise it for a couple of viewings.

I kinda enjoyed the cartoon. I just never watched it regular enough to really follow the plot.

As for Jennifer's Body, I'm not saying that the movie won't be without it's moment(s). But it just seems to be a vehicle piece for Megan Fox that has her character wandering around picking up (and killling) highschool kids. It seems to be a more occult version of "species", maybe influenced by the Buffy TV series in terms of humor.

Of course, I should admit I'm often wrong about this sort of thing. But that's my initial impression anyway...

No, no, not at all. I'm hoping it's fun, but there's PLENTY of room for suck here. Interesting we should see both this and Drag Me to Hell (which finally releases here in just over a fortnight) in the same year, what, with them both being old-school demonic possession horror comedies and all. The latter's first trailer did very little for me, but by most accounts the film's a blast.

Speaking of old school demonic-possession horror comedies, just watched An American Werewolf in London again the other day and that movie is perfection on film.

About time Drag me to Hell came about too - love me some Raimi horror-com.
